New ways...

So after my hols and break, which were really nice btw, I have come back with a slightly different outlook to my poker. I am going to have a go at NL FR Cash, but with a slight diference. I have split my Bankroll between 5 sites, Stars, Full tilt, Devilfish Poker, Everest and Party. The plan being only to play the Juiciest tables.

With my roll being split up I am only realy rolled to play NL20/25. I am going to keep on with this for about a month to see how it goes. Then in July I will probably need to consolidate my roll back onto stars just to make sure I hit the Supernova bonus.

I started it last night and it went ok-ish. It often means quitting tables as soon as the fish leaves and searching for another, so mass multi-tabling is out of the question. I think i will normally be playing 4-6 tables at any one time, maybe less if I am on waiting lists.

If i do find its not working a little bit in, I may switch to SnG's on these sites and see how soft they are.

It's all a bit of change and adventure ATM. I guess I'll take it as it comes :-)

in two minds..

Not sure where to go with my poker right now. I aimed for the Supernova and I almost have it, but the deck is so cold for me at stars right now, that I really don;t want to play much there.

I played quite a bit if LHE last month, well just about 37,000 hands, but finished it at a loss. I can;t see the point in continuing that if I can;t make it pay. I also played soem SnG's the other day and today and just could seem to get a good hand to hold. getting it ahead maybe 80-90% of the time, but not winning 80-90% of the showdowns, prolly lucky if I won 50%. Just the way it goes sometimes, but when you step back to your best game and run bad after a losing moth, the motivation quickly fucks off.

Not to worry. I go away on hols for a week and hoefully when i return I'll know where I wanna be with my game.

Pissed poker.. is NOT FTW!

Had a barbeque yesterday evening and the Buds were flowing very nicely..and I mean nicely! Drinkin away happily in the garden enjoyin this sunshine and basically just chillin out. anyways, after a bit, with the Buds still flowing, I came in watched some shit on the TV and then, in my infinite wisdom, decided to play some Razz cash. Oh yeah, I am serious, I don;t even fully know the rules. I know the basics concepts, but thats about it. So, I sit down at a 2/4 table..LOL and proceed to spew of $100ish just being a total dickhead! hahahaha. it's funny now, i spose. WTF was i thinking?

I bet there was a list of like 50 players waiting to join!! When I got up this morning, I didn;t know how much i had lost and also when i opened the laptop i had a page up that was called "The Essentials of Razz" HAHAHAHAHA. What a tool. I had a look at the Stars cashier to see just how much i was down, because i just kept topping up at the table, and was happy to see it was only just over $100. It could have been much worse to be fair.

So, note to self. Avoid poker when pissed. :-)

On another note, I lost my post yesterday. Thanks to the guys for the advice... Hindsight is a wonderful thing!

basically it was just rounding up the few days, where i have been playing more LHE and some MTT;s, all without much success tbh.

Overall now, according to poker tracker, I am down a total of $346 since the 1st May (all on Pokerstars). that breaks down to:

an $84 loss at 1/2LHE in just over 37k hands.
an $190 loss at 2/4 LHE in only 2k hands
a $35 loss at NL50 over 1.1k hands
a $35 at NL25 over 1,8k hands

Thats fucking shit. It wouldn;t be so bad if i could get rakeback as I have paid over $1200 in rake. Meh, twat.

Oh well, lets hope June is better. I am off on hols just for a week on friday, just down to the South of England for a week with the wife and little-un, which should be nice and i promised no laptop, so no poker. Hopefully, I will be re-envigourated when i return and might have to move back to my profitable games, the SnG's.

No poker yesterday, but I did go down to wembley to watch the Clarets gain promotion to the premier League!!! I have some photos and videos that I'll hopefully get up tomorrow tomorrow! Suffice to say getting to bed at 1am after a shitty coach journey and then gettin up at 6am for work does'nt go too well together!

Or just having a one off good run??? I ran pretty well tonight. with my flushes getting there when betting them hard and actually flopping a few sets and even quad 4's once! weeeeeeeeeee

I finished the session $89.25 up, despite running QQ into KK twice and AA into KK once! So, I am pretty happy with that result.

On a side note, myself and Amatay have put a great deal together for the members of the forums where the winner/s of our tourneys get to go for a two day stay in Paris and gets to play in a €250 deepstacks tourney in the Aviation Club de Paris! Its pretty good tbh and if things go well we will be doing loads more of these in the future.
